First Fridays!

This Friday will be Greek IV's first First Fridays.  What is it? First, Core Group members who are interested and able will meet at Devon's apartment at 5:00 pm for our once-a-month prayer gathering.  Then, everyone else is invited to meet at Devon's apartment at 6:00 so that we can all take Septa together to Old City to enjoy the free art exhibits and hors devours that are offered at First Friday.  If you're interested, we can all grab dinner together after.
For more information and details check out our Facebook event or contact Devon.

InterSorority Small Group Tonight

You're not required to say anything nearly as profound as what Markley is listening to in this photo.
The InterSorority Small Group starts tonight at 7 pm. Kathryn and Sammi are hosting at their house, 3932 Spruce.  Women from all sororities are invited. The evening will include getting to know each other, reading & discussing Psalm 23, and sharing prayer requests.  If you've never been to a Bible study or small group before, it's OK! You won't be quizzed on your Bible knowledge, so have no fear!  Be sure to invite your friends who aren't yet on our list serv.  If you need more info, contact Kathryn at knar@nursing.upenn.edu Have fun!

Velcro Web @ Fall Fest

Thanks to our friends in high places, Greek IV will proudly be the student organization who gets the opportunity to sponsor the Velcro Web at Fall Fest on Saturday 2:00-6:00.  How fun is that?! We will need 4-8 volunteers to help us man the booth.  We will discuss further at Core Group tonight. And if you can't volunteer, you must stop by with your friends and test it out.

Greek & Christian? Q&A Panel

This event has been postponed until later in the semester. Stay tuned for for more details about the upcoming event (probably late November or early December.)

On October 4th we are hosting our 2nd annual "Greek & Christian?" Q&A Panel for underclassmen who are considering spring recruitment. Details (which we will continue to flesh out at our next Core Group) are below.

Is it possible to be both Greek and Christian?
Will I be forced to do things against my faith when I pledge?
What if I don’t get a bid into a fraternity or sorority?
How can Greek IV enhance my Greek experience at Penn?

If you have these questions and more, please join us

Greek IV “Greek & Christian?” Q&A Panel
Monday, October 4th, 7:00 pm
Irvine Auditorium, Alpert Meeting Room (G16)

  • You will have the opportunity to interact with students who are following Jesus while being active in their fraternities and sororities.
  • You will hear some of their stories.
  • You will eat some really yummy desserts.
  • You will make new friends and contacts.
  • You might even feel a little awkward about attending, as you might not know anyone else going, but you will be welcomed as soon as you arrive. So, even if you do feel awkward, come anyway. J

Liam Goes to Franklin Field

Obviously this kid could take on Penn's Defense any day of the week, but since he doesn't meet the age requirements established by the NCAA, he'll be cheering on the home team from the stands.  If anyone wants to help us (and by us, I mean Daniel) teach Liam the ropes about football, meet us at the entrance to Franklin Field a little before kick-off.  Text me to let us know if you'll be joining us!
